What does Avella People do?

Avella People provides outsourced HR and recruitment support for growing businesses. We act as an extension of your team, helping you hire great people and manage them effectively.

Who are your services designed for?

We work primarily with startups, SMEs and scaling businesses that need HR and recruitment expertise but don’t yet have a full in-house team.

How does your subscription model work?

Our plans provide ongoing HR and recruitment support for a fixed monthly fee, giving you consistent access to expert guidance and support.

Can we start with either Recuitment or HR only?

Yes. Some clients start with one side of the business and extend to the other as they grow. We will help you decide what makes sense during the introductory call and can structure subscriptions accordingly.

What terms and subscription lengths do you offer?

Most clients work with us on a 12-month term, but we offer a 3-month trial for all services. For enterprise or more complex arrangements, we will agree terms that reflect the level of embedded support and change management involved.

Why choose outsourced HR instead of hiring internally?

Outsourced HR gives you access to experienced professionals without the cost of employing a full-time HR manager. It provides flexibility while ensuring your business remains compliant.

How does Avella People intergrate to our business?

We can operate as your primary HR and/or recruitment function, and pride ourselves on acting as a trusted extension to your team.

Can you help if we’ve never hired anyone before?

Yes. Many of our clients are hiring their first employees, and we guide them through the entire process from job descriptions to onboarding.

How is this different from a traditional recruitment agency retainer?

Our subscription model is based on partnership, not placement. We do not charge commission per hire, and we cap the number of active roles so we can maintain quality. You gain a predictable monthly fee, better employer brand and a more consistent candidate experience.

Do you work with businesses in specific industries?

We support organisations across multiple industries, tailoring our approach to each company’s structure and goals.

What recruitment roles can you support?

We recruit across a wide range of positions including care, operations, tech, sales, marketing, finance, HR, leadership and specialist roles.

How quickly can you start working with us?

We can usually begin supporting your business within a few days after the initial consultation.

What happens during the first consultation?

We’ll discuss your business goals, hiring plans and HR challenges to understand how we can best support your organisation.

Do you offer one-off recruitment projects?

Yes. While our subscription plans offer the most value, we can also support specific hiring projects when needed.

Can you support remote or distributed teams?

Absolutely. We work with businesses managing remote, hybrid and international teams.

Do you create employment contracts and policies?

Yes. We can provide contracts, employee handbooks and HR policy frameworks tailored to your organisation.

What is employee relations support?

Employee relations includes handling workplace matters such as performance issues, disciplinary processes, grievances and absence management.

Can you help train our managers?

Yes. We provide interview training, HR guidance and leadership support for managers.

What if our business grows quickly?

Our plans are designed to scale with you. As your team grows, we can adjust the level of support accordingly.

 Will we have a dedicated contact?

Yes. Each client is assigned a dedicated partner who works closely with your team.

How do you ensure the right cultural fit when recruiting?

We take time to understand your company culture, leadership style and long-term goals, ensuring candidates align with your organisation.

What makes Avella People different from traditional recruitment agencies?

We combine recruitment and HR expertise, allowing us to support the entire employee lifecycle rather than just filling vacancies.

 Do you work with businesses outside the UK?

Our core HR advice is based on UK employment legislation, and our recruitment work is primarily UK and Europe-focused. We are happy to discuss global or multi-jurisdiction arrangements and can involve specialist partners where needed.
